If/when you decide to read any of these—if you shared with us, then we could do a low commitment book club! A standard book club with required reading in X amount of time overwhelms me. Sometime I read 3 books a week, otherwise I won’t read for 4 months.

can confirm the anthropocene reviewed will have you smiling/crying/laughing and everything in-between; it’s a deep breath for my anxious girlies

I'm shook to my core that The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah didn't make this list!!! Another great one is Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah. (this author never fails to make me SOB). That being said, I LOVE this list. I'm always looking for books that will make me feel something.

This list is beautiful - lots of books I’ve read, and lots of books now on my tbr list! I also highly recommend Circe by Madeline Miller, it’s not a necessarily “sad” book, but especially if you’ve ever felt out of place or mistreated, the book WILL speak to your soul <3.

This was just the book list I needed. I’ve been wanting to read a book in the same line of A thousand Splendid Suns since that story has forever stayed with me. Thank you for this!

I’ve been feeling this way too!! Have read so many books that aren’t really impacting me and I wanna FEEL or LEARN something, read something that makes me THINK but it’s hard when you’re not in the habit of reading things like that anymore
